About Us

We are helping to build a Compassionate Community by forging community bonds and creating meaningful connections to facilitate a stronger, happier community where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Our compassionate community is when people come together to support one another through life’s challenges, including grief, loss, and loneliness. It’s a network that ensures no one feels isolated, where everyone—regardless of age or background—feels connected, valued, and supported.

Coastal Community Connections provides a range of activities, helping people to build connections that matter.

Here’s what that looks like in action:

Loneliness & Loss:

End of life can be both unifying and isolating at the same time. We offer safe spaces like bereavement support and training in End-of-Life Skills for Everyone (EASE) where people can share their experiences and find comfort in knowing they’re not alone. These activities are supportive, practical, surprisingly fun at times but always welcomingWhether you are navigating an end-of-life diagnosis, living with grief or supporting others, our activities build a sense of connection and community.

Reducing Social Isolation

For those who may find it difficult to attend group activities, we provide a one-to-one service with regular check-ins. These personal connections focus on building confidence to support individuals to connect with the local community.

Stronger Connections (Drop-in Services):

Connecting through shared activities We create and signpost opportunities for people to meet and form new friendships. These activities are designed to make it easy for everyone to join in, whether you’re a young adult looking for meaningful connections or an older person seeking companionship, or anyone in between.
