Fringe By The Sea

Former Edinburgh Makar Hannah Lavery and current Edinburgh Makar Michael Pedersen will appear in conversation at the festival on Friday, July 31.

Taking place at The Famous Grouse Lodge from 2pm to 3pm, the discussion will examine the communities that shape us, the relationships that sustain us and the role of creativity in bringing people together.

The conversation promises an engaging and thoughtful exploration of friendship, relationships and the communities that influence both life and art, both will read from their work, and a book signing follows the event.

Connect with Nature: Our walk as part of WalkFest 2026

East Lothian Walking Festival is now in its 5th year and we have a walk as part of the amazing line-up again this year.

Spending time in nature is good for our health and wellbeing and what better way to experience this than in the beautiful and wild surroundings of the reserve.

Our walk is free to attend, but bookable on the WalkFest website.

This is a gentle walk with no steep inclines, unfortunately dogs are not allowed on this one.
